Generation
Compressed air is generated in a central station.
Two turbo compressors and nine rotary screw-type compressors are used. 

Quality
Two different qualities can be supplied at present:

• 8.0 bar excess pressure, oil-free, pressure dew point 2 °C
• 4.5 bar excess pressure, oil content 2 - 4 ppm, 8 °C

Availability
Sufficient compressors are installed for each compressed air level to guarantee supply of the required volume of air in the event of failure of the largest unit.
